WinRAR 5.0 多了一個 RAR5 的格式, 不能向下相容, 用 RAR5 格式壓出來的 RAR 檔,
用 5.0 以下的版本解不開, 會出現以下的訊息
不支援的壓縮檔格式。請更新 WinRAR 成新一點的版本。
這個壓縮檔不是未知的格式就是損壞。
RAR5 格式壓縮率有比較高, 但也沒有差很多, 和舊版比起來, Size 大概小 5% 以內
RAR5 格式因為無法向下相容, 短期不會普及, WinRAR 5 預設仍是舊格式, 不會造成使用者的困擾
這個版本開始支援 XZ 格式解壓, XZ 格式的壓縮率特高, 社群使用率慢慢變多
