Kademlia 是一種 overlay network protocol,
在現有的網路上建構一個 overlay network (虛擬網路或重疊網路), 每個節點使用 Node ID 來識別, 用 UDP 來溝通.
Kademlia 常應用在 P2P 的檔案分享, 和 eD2K 網路不同的是, Kademlia 不需要中央伺服器, 已有多種軟體使用此協定.
