Sender ID 是由微軟所主導的 Anti-Spam 機制, 不過 Open Source 業界似乎不領情, 如 Apache, Debian 先後表示不支持 Sender ID
主要原因大致大有兩點

  • 違背 Open Souce 精神
    (Apache: 我們相信目前的授權大致上與開放原始碼不相容, 有悖於開放網路標準的常規, 特別與Apache License 2.0 不相容)
    (Debian: Sender ID 和 Debian Free Software Guidelines 相抵觸)
  • 授權條件過於嚴苛
