ICQ 的凋零

ICQ 的凋零, 可以從好友上線名單看出來, 現在我的 ICQ 上的上線名單,
通常是個位數. ICQ 之所以被後起之秀(MSN, Yahoo)幹掉,
我認為主要原因有:

  • 沒有友善的介面
    稍早的 ICQ 版本, 設定介面實在煩雜, 讓想用的人退卻三分,
    後來推出的 ICQ Lite 版本, 改善許多, 但是為時已晚
  • 沒有多國語系
    稍早的 ICQ 版本, 只有英文版, 後來推出的 ICQ Lite 版本, 有多國語系,
    但也為時已晚

    • Gmail 兩大功能

  • 備分 Email
    把所有的 mail forward 到 Gmail 備份, 日後要找 mail 資料很方便
  • 資料收集
    看到喜歡的文件, 寄到自己的 Gmail

    PS.
    有人架了個共享 Gmail invitations 的網站, 有多餘 invitations 的人, 可經由它分享給其他人
